Presentación

Higher education is undergoing a digital transformation. This book presents the findings of the European Network in D-flexible Teaching (ENID-Teach) project, funded by the KA220-HED (Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education, 2021-1-ES01-KA220-HED-000027551) program, coordinated by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED). Through flexible and innovative digital methodologies, this initiative has explored new forms of teaching adapted to current challenges.

The work compiles the results from the different project partners:

  • Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED)Spain
  • Burgas Free University (BFU)Bulgaria
  • Universidade Aberta de Portugal (UAb)Portugal
  • Università degli Studi di Catania (UNICT)Italy
  • MAG Uninettuno, MAG S.R.LItaly

Based on interviews and discussion groups with European university professors, the book offers a practical analysis of the impact of hybrid learning, gamification and microlearning in higher education. It presents pedagogical strategies and models that have been shown to improve student participation and enrich the teaching experience.

The work is structured in three parts:

✅ Fundamentals and innovative methodologies, which lay the foundations for flexible digital learning.

✅ Experiences of Spanish teachers, with real cases of implementation.

✅ European practices in digital transformation, highlighting approaches in different countries.

The book concludes with key reflections on the challenges and opportunities in the digitization of university education, underlining the importance of strengthening teacher training and building international cooperation networks.
