Dr. Miguel Ángel Betancor León
Doctor in Psychopedagogy and Professor of University School in the area of Theory and History of Education at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Founder of the Centre for Sports Refereeing Studies at the ULPGC, he has been director of sports refereeing at FIBA Europe. Scientific advisor from 2013 to the present for the European Handball Federation (EHF). Former international basketball referee, with a long history of officiating finals, including the final of the Olympic Games. OO. Atlanta (1996) between the USA and Yugoslavia. Co-author of the book La formación en el arbitraje deportivo (2021).
