The \u00abSanta Chiara-Pascoli-Altamura\u00bb educational institution welcomes around 700 pupils, divided into three school grades, from kindergarten to first grade secondary school, involved in a coherent and unitary learning and research path from 3 to 13 years. The institution intends to act as a welcoming and inclusive educational environment, a privileged place of experience and relationship in which children and young people can build transversal skills and competences. The school shares the pedagogical idea of a curious pupil, participatory and active protagonist of its path of growth and affirmation; that consciously develops its own unique and unrepeatable identity dimension, in the encounter-comparison with peers and in the educational relationship with competent, authoritative and passionate adults and \u00abteachers\u00bb; shares the idea of an autonomous child \/ boy, capable of expressing feelings and emotions with different languages, of responsibly motivating choices and behaviors, of exploring the world, of confronting and asking for help, placing trust in himself and in others. The mission of the institution is practiced by promoting the experimentation of an innovative, scientifically based methodology, by joining communities of practices and coordinated experiments at national and international level. Around 120 teachers work in the institution.
