PR 4

  • Starting Date: 11-2022
  • Project Type: A collaborative platform for learning design and content (re- )design, storing and publishing on the Digital Hub
  • Leading Partner: UNIVERSIDAD POMPEU FABRA

The COVID-19 pandemic shows that even though some schools in partner countries have had remote learning experiences too only a few schools have established good practices in distance and hybrid approaches, as well as lack of specialist staff, infrastructure, and readiness. Therefore, European collaboration is more needed than ever. On the other hand, teachers also need to actively participate in the community of practice and sharing their experiences. This leads to University- School collaboration for the common goal of quality education. In order to foster institutional collaboration, practice and resources exchange, many government facilities and independent institutions launched collaborations and calls for response to COVID-19, including this very much exceptional Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership call. We see this as an opportunity to establish international and national collaboration at the individual level where many school teachers at all key stages can benefit from each other’s experience and redesign their existing F2F lessons with complementary materials of which already exist or created by themselves. Also, one survey in Italy shows that about a third of the surveyed teachers expressed the wish to adopt a blended configuration for future teaching activities (Giovanella et al.2020). For this reason, this PR focuses also on hybrid approaches and sustainable, collaborative, community-oriented practice exchange between the teachers. Target groups: Teachers; anyone who is creating a curriculum for online learning Elements of innovation: As it is presented in the need analysis, there are many supportive tools for teachers to use in the content preparation of the lecture. Our innovative digital hub, however, provides opportunities for i) national and international collaboration and ii) support for content design not only complementary tools and OER recommendation. Expected impact and transferability potential: We expect that active use of this functionality would be lower than the participation in forums and MOOCs. Nevertheless, we expect at least 30 teachers per country would use the collaborative platform for learning design. Even though we offer this function for school teachers, in particular, we believe any teacher who needs to prepare an online/hybrid course can benefit from this collaborative environment
